SAC / DST attempting to resolve concerns
February 2, 2008If you submitted a letter of objection to Superior Aggregates Company's aggregate licence application last November 2006, you should expect to be receiving replies to your letters through SAC's agent, DST Consulting, if you haven't already. The letters include a request to have replies sent back to DST by Feb 12, 2008. Although this deadline is not legally binding, you are advised to try to meet this deadline. This current round of correspondence represents the proponent's attempts to resolve the objections to their proposal, which they must demonstrate they have done. They will be asking you to withdraw your objections. After this round of replies, you can expect to receive another letter at some point in the future that will outline your unresolved objections, the proponent's attempt to resolve your objections, and informing you that you will have 20 days (legally binding) to respond to MNR with recommendations how you feel your objections can be resolved.
If you have any questions about the public consultation process or seeking clarification on the next steps, you can email us at info@ccmb.ca. If you would like someone to talk to you, please email your request to the above email address along with your phone number and we will arrange to have someone phone you.
